Girl Scout and Gay-Hating Pastor Says Repent or Get More Hurricanes

In an address where he called on American cities to repent for embracing "sexual perversion," homeschool-loving and Girl Scout-loathing radio pastor Kevin Swanson completed a trifecta of hate Thursday by becoming the third Christian mouthpiece to blame Hurricane Harvey's devastation of east Texas on Houston's lesbian former mayor.

"Jesus sends the message home, unless Americans repent, unless Houston repents, unless New Orleans repents, they will all likewise perish," Swanson said on his radio program Thursday. "That is the message that the Lord Jesus Christ is sending home right now to America."

Right Wing Watch reports that Swanson claims Houston was hit by this storm because "it was persecuting pastors and churches" and recently had "a very, very aggressively pro-homosexual mayor." Moreover, he noted the Texas legislature recently failed to pass a bill "that would have prevented cross-dressing men from using the women's restrooms" because "they wanted to encourage the abomination of men attempting to dress like women and women attempting to dress like men."

Swanson also noted that God's wrath could be headed to New Orleans, where the Crescent City's annual gay Southern Decadence festival takes place over Labor Day weekend.

"Is anybody paying attention in New Orleans?" he asked. "Unless you repent, you will likewise perish," Swanson proclaimed. "And repairing your houses in Houston after a hurricane is useless if you're just going to go to hell."

In addition for calling for the execution of all gays, Swanson's past assertions have included condemning everything from "Harry Potter" books to Queen Elsa from Disney's "Frozen." His ongoing rails against the Girl Scouts of America have included pleas to followers not to buy the organization's "communist lesbian cookies."
