After XXX Video Leaks Tumblr Hunk Wonders, 'What Makes You Gay?'
Jason St. Amand READ TIME: 3 MIN.
Some days I'm just really glad we have social media.
Michael Hoffman, a somewhat popular Internet hottie best known for taking lots and lots of hot selfies (who can blame him really), is taking the Web by storm this week after he made (then deleted) a video to tell his followers that he is definitely not gay.
What sparked him to make his announcement? Well, someone apparently leaked some XXX videos of the stud masturbating...and eating his own semen. BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU GAY, OK?
Project Q Houston, which points out that Hoffman, 21, was a high school jock and an Eagle Scout, has the rundown of the series events that led the social media hottie proclaiming his straightness:
On Friday, the first video leaked and showed up on the Gaily Grind, which you can watch here (super NSFW, duh). On Saturday, the second jerk off video popped up on the web; and in both clips, Hoffman is licking his man juice off his hands.
By Sunday, social media took over and made several .gifs from the clips. He became so talked about, there's even a Tumblr tag for Hoffman.
On Monday, he posted a video, clothed and sitting in his car, addressing the naughty clips, stressing that he isn't gay even though "respect[s] gay people completely." Though the vid has been taken down, you can watch it over at Gawker.
"I just want to say, I know there are videos going around of me. I understand," he said. "But I wanted to say a few things. One, I'm not gay. Those videos, I can understand, make me look that way, and I respect gay people completely, but I'm not gay. I'm straight."
He goes on to say that he made over $10,000 selling the videos and other clips. Gawker's Rich Juzwaik notes "he clearly filmed them himself, so I guess he sold them as limited edition art pieces."
"I needed the money, I posted those videos, I was naive about it thinking that they'd never get online, but someone started the whole thing and posted them online or a few people did and um, you know, it is what it is," Hoffman said.
He calls the entire ordeal "humiliating" and says people look at him "weird" when he goes out (maybe that explains why he filmed his response, hiding out in his car). Nevertheless, Hoffman is optimistic:
"I guess I'm gonna continue maybe doing, you know, flexing or whatever on YouTube. Probably start acting and stuff..."
Project Q points out that on Tuesday, the muscle hunk deleted his social media accounts except his Tumblr, which is loaded with half-naked selfies. There are a few other Facebook pages and Insatgram accounts, claiming to be Hoffman but they are most likely fake accounts.
Project Q also discovered Hoffman's Google+ page, which he made when he was 16. He writes about his love for "girls, food, dogs and sports." Under his "bragging rights" section, Hoffman says he is an Abercrombie & Fitch model. Of course.
Finally, here is a video of Hoffman "modeling," as he calls it. It was uploaded on Tuesday and already has nearly 10,000 views.
In the comments section he writes: "SO WHO'S MY BIGGEST FAN? Email me and I will tell you how you can become my biggest and closest fan."
