Spoiler alert! This story includes details from the latest episode of "The Traitors."

In just a few years, out reality star Gabby Windey has conquered "The Bachelor," presided over "The Bachelorette," and had a turn on "Dancing with the Stars." Now she's making her mark on "The Traitors."

A former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who went on to become an ICU nurse – and be honored with the Pop Warner Humanitarian Award for her work during the COVID-19 pandemic – Windey swept through her earlier trio of reality shows in a single year, 2022. But she didn't simply fade from the scene; she sparked headlines when she came out on "The View" in 2023.

Now, as a fan favorite on the current season of "The Traitors" – and the last one standing from a trio of "Bambis" that also included out contestants Chrishelle Stause of "Selling Sunset," and Nikki Garcia, a WWE Divas wrestling champion twice over – Windey is winning over a whole new fan base with her low-key savvy, "which found Gabby suddenly coming online with a theory" in the show's most recent episode, LGBTQ+ culture site "them" reported.

"The intensity with which Danielle Reyes went after Carolyn Wiger at the roundtable suggests that she herself is probably a Traitor," them recapped a portion of the episode.

"The Traitors," set in a remote Scottish castle and hosted by out actor Alan Cumming, pits a group of contestants against each other in various challenges, as well as votes to eject cast members. But there's a twist: Some contestants are secretly "Traitors" who work to sow discord and suspicion among the "Faithfuls," seeking to get Faithfuls voted off even as they commit off-screen "murders" that remove players on a nightly basis.

The Faithful, in turn, attempt to work out who the Traitors among them might be, and then vote them off before the Traitors can strike again.

"Whether Windey's theory gets traction... remains to be seen," them recounted, "but it was so refreshing after eight episodes of a quirky girl edit ('That's a perky knock!') to finally see her come online."

Indeed, Windey's popularity is due in large part to her sharp wit. Talking with The New York Times about "The Traitors," Windey cut right to the quick when she commented on how "Survivor" veteran Tony Vlachos tearfully responded to being exiled from the show: "Watching a grown man break down over a murder mystery game could cure the patriarchy," she quipped.

Her streak of pointed humor is in abundant evidence. "When asked about her previous reality TV experience, Windey gave an iconic response," Gayety recalled: "I'm a lesbian now."

The writeup admired "her ability to discuss topics like gender, sexuality, and relationships with a lightheartedness that still makes an impact."

"Whether poking fun at herself or tackling serious topics with humor, she captivates her audience, making them feel like they're in on the joke."

The Times sang similar praises in a profile that took note of how "Ms. Windey's turn on 'The Traitors' has widened her audience on social media, where clips from her podcast, 'Long Winded,' regularly find tens of thousands of viewers."

The Times described one clip: "No, I have business hours," Windey declares. "What are you doing calling me after 3 p.m.? I've lost all my confidence. I've just had lunch. I'm lethargic."

That snippet "was shared by the model Bella Hadid and has since become a meme," the Times relayed.

In another post, the busy reality star said, "I can't wait till I get to the place where I can say no," The Times recounted, noting that in the post she was "announcing that she had fallen ill because of her packed schedule."

"You'll know when I start saying no, because you'll never see me again," Windey added.

In another post, Windey explained the genesis of a nickname her fans have embraced: "Gaggy."

Her very public relationship with comedian Robby Hoffman is another point in Windey's favor with her fans. The two demonstrated their adorable chemistry in a joint conversation with Interview Magazine, with Windey lovingly comparing Hoffman to fellow "Traitors" contestant Bob the Drag Queen, who was booted from the show in the midst of a spectacular twofold double-cross that pitted the drag icon against fellow Traitor "Boston Rob" Mariano.

Speculating on Hoffman's chances were she to be cast on "The Traitors," Windey told Interview, "I think she probably would've been a faithful, because I think she'd be too much of a liability as a traitor. And she's a contrarian. So anything that one person says, she will immediately say the opposite with maybe not a lot of credibility behind it."

Hoffman rose to her own defense with, "I have strong convictions," but Windey simply kept on with her analysis.

"She's not very strategic, and she cannot keep a secret," Windey continued. "For being a girl and being in a lesbian relationship, you think that you'll be able to gossip."

"Babe," Hoffman interjected.

"She's a Sagittarius," Windey added, "and sometimes I feel like they cannot read the room."
