23 Broadway Songs for New Beginnings

Broadway Direct and Spotify have partnered to create the ultimate musical theater playlist for better days ahead. However, the short-term projection is as bleak as a musical without an orchestra.
Dr. Anthony Fauci told arts professionals at a virtual conference that theaters could conceivably open "some time in the fall of 2021," the New York Times reports.
"If everything goes right, this will occur some time in the fall of 2021," Dr. Fauci said, "so that by the time we get to the early to mid-fall, you can have people feeling safe performing onstage as well as people in the audience."
Broadway theaters have yet to extend suspension notices and are officially shuttered through May 31, 2021. According to Americans for the Arts, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations have already lost an estimated $14.8 billion.
Though some shows like "Mean Girls" won't be returning to Broadway, hope springs eternal with this curated collection of 23 Broadway songs from musicals such as "Come From Away," "Hamilton," "West Side Story" and more.
