Tivoli Lagos Algarve Hotel Re-Opens After $5.3M Renovation

After an extensive five-month renovation, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has announced the re-opening of Tivoli Lagos Algarve Hotel, an upscale property blending contemporary flair with southern Portuguese culture. The extensive refurbishment represents an investment of �4.6 million ($5.3 million).

Located in the Algarve, the lively fishing village of Lagos is beloved for its historic center and close proximity to golf courses and golden beaches. Tivoli Lagos has benefited from an ambitious refurbishment, where Portuguese interior designer Sofia Sardo has combined modern Algarvian characteristics with traditional Moorish influences.

The hotel's 205 guest rooms and suites, which are spread across seven buildings, have been redecorated in refreshing seaside motifs and soft colors. Private balconies and patios offer views of the swimming pool, manicured Mediterranean gardens, the sea and the town. The property still enjoys the same convenient location, with Lagos' historic center, the marina and the white-sand beach Meia Praia all close by.

Now offering four restaurants and a bar, Tivoli Lagos will become a gastronomic highlight for the town. Restaurant Lac�briga showcases authentic delicacies from around the Algarve, while iconic P�teo Velho introduces guests to traditional Algarve grilling and Portuguese wines in a charming venue with both indoor and al fresco spaces. An entirely new dining concept, La Terrazza, offers genuine indulgences from Italian gastronomy, with handmade pizzas, pastas and more. Aroma Bar & Lounge, situated in the heart of the hotel, is a place to enjoy a chilled beer, a glass of wine or a well-mixed cocktail in a lively yet laid-back ambience. During the day, light meals and snacks can also be enjoyed in the lobby area and on the sunlit outdoor terrace by the pool.

In addition, Duna Beach Club, which is operated by Tivoli Lagos on Meia Praia just four kilometers away, offers excellent international and Portuguese light dining on the beach. The perfect atmosphere for socializing includes a sunny terrace and beautiful waterfront views. The Tivoli Lagos has also enhanced its leisure and wellness services, with a sauna and poolside massages available.
