Jazz Jennings Takes High Road Following Duggar In-Law Hate Tweets

Once again, teenage Jazz Jennings handled haters with a level of class and grace rarely seen on or off the small screen and proved herself to be the only adult in the room.

Following a month of hate tweets aimed at Jennings by Duggar in-law Derrick Dillard that prompted TLC to permanently 86 him from the family's spin-off series "Counting On," the transgender teen reality star took the high road.

Taking to her own Twitter account, Jennings declined to address Dillard formally, but instead wrote:

Jennings tweet was in response to a recent barrage of anti-transgender tweets from 28-year-old Derrick Dillard, who is married to Jill Duggar of the famed reality show clan.

Dillard's hate tweets had started in August when he responded to a tweet by his network promoting Jennings' series "I Am Jazz." In that tweet, he wrote to his 122 thousand followers:

Dillard then doubled down with a follow-up tweet that misgendered Jennings.

But it was a recent barrage of Dillard's hate tweets that had TLC finally pull the plug on his appearing in episodes of the "19 Kids and Counting" spin-off "Counting On."

This tweet appears to be the one that finally broke TLC. Following its publication, the network issued the following statement:

We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.
