Right Wing Radio Host Cooks Up Obama, Clinton Gay Rumors to Deflect from Moore Scandal

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Wayne Allyn Root, the misogynistic homophobic right-wing radio host who recently blamed former Fox News personality Megyn Kelly's low ratings on MSNBC on gay viewers who "don't appreciate pretty women," deflected allegations of child molestation surrounding Roy Moore by cooking up rumors of his own about Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama's fictional gay pasts.

"Where is The Washington Post to dig into Hillary Clinton's background?" Root asked his radio audience last week. "Where are the women Hillary's dated all these years? How come they don't come forward? Where are they? Everybody knows about them."

As for former President Obama, Root, who calls himself a "Capitalist Evangelist," also demanded why the press didn't cover his conspiracy theory about his fictional gay past.

"I've heard the rumors about Bathhouse Barry," he said. "Everyone has. Bathhouse Barry, well known in Chicago. By the way, not a rumor from a stranger I don't know, rumors from my friends in Chicago, who are people in the know who tell me Barack Obama has a sordid past."

Perhaps what was most disturbing during Root's rant was his quickness to excuse Moore for sexually assaulting teenage girls.

"They were beautiful young girls and they could have passed for 20" and so even if Moore did "hit on a couple of them," it is no big deal because "every time a see a video or picture of [Joe Biden], he's got his hand inappropriately on a woman's ass," Root said.
